On Saturday, September 30, 2006, Boas Surgical participated in the first annual AIRPLANE PULL CHALLENGE to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The team consisted of employees, family, patients and friends of Boas Surgical. The Boas Surgical team raised approximately $3000 and overall, the event raised approximately $30,000 to help aid in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.

The Boas Surgical "pull team" consisted of 20 members and were challenged to pull a Boeing 727 airplane that weighed a whopping 168,000 pounds a total distance of 12 feet. They accomplished that challenge in just 9 seconds.

The team is looking forward to participating in this event again next year to raise more money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and to improve on their "pull" time
